personal coaching - for cultural change

“No artist tolerates reality”

With the state of our world, hope can feel like a foolish emotion. dangerous, even.

But In the words of Václav Havel, “Hope is a dimension of the soul… an orientation of the heart. It transcends the world that is immediately experienced and is anchored somewhere beyond its horizons.”

The fact that you care so deeply means you have not lost hope, that your humanity is intact. It means you are daring to imagine a kinder, truer, freer way - for yourself, our children, and the wider world.

So please don’t shrink to fit in or dim your beautiful light. You’re not ‘too’ idealistic / sensitive / intense / caring. You’re not ‘too much’ of anything. You’re EXACTLY what this world needs more of.

my approach to coaching

i do not know
better than you.

I am here to be your companion, not your authority. While it is often easier to see patterns from the outside, it is your truth that we are coming home to; it is your pace that will guide our journey.  I do not promise quick-fixes or specific outcomes; I can only promise to be there for you - through all the paradoxes of this human life.

it’s the system that’s broken, not us.

Too often, we are blamed individually for the flaws of our capitalistic, patriarchal society. ‘Self-improvement’ is about performing better for the system, rather than the system better serving us. The sick, addicted and overweight are seen as too ‘weak’ when the root cause of their suffering is so often systemic. And so rather than helping people ‘cope’ with a broken system, I want to help build a new one.

there are no ultimate truths

The more I live, the more I see that truth is contextual and evolving. Yet, in this ever-changing world, compassion for all of life is essential and human equality is non-negotiable. Without ultimate truths to cling to, it is empathy, humility, and a commitment to justice that serve as our moral compass.

our personal & collective stories are interwoven.

I am interested in how our cultural and generational wounds shape us as individuals; and how our individual healing can in turn shape culture and future generations. Neither trauma nor liberation is ever just personal - we are each ripples that make the waves that shift the world.

gentle change is sustainable change.

Our conditioning runs deep and our trauma can cross generations. Rushing, forcing or hacking your transformation can create unnecessary rupture. With deep compassion and a trauma-conscious approach, we will gently work through the patterns, beliefs and dynamics that have shaped you, in a way that honours both you and your relationships.

core modalities

here are some of the modalities we might weave into our work:

Biography work

Biography Work in coaching creates a powerful space to examine your life story, revealing hidden patterns and unconscious beliefs that shape your choices. By exploring your personal narrative—including family dynamics, cultural influences, and pivotal moments—you gain clarity about why you respond to challenges in specific ways. This process helps you recognize inherited patterns, transform limiting beliefs, and consciously author the next chapter of your life.

Through structured reflection on your life journey, biography work fosters deeper self-understanding, greater compassion for yourself and others, and the ability to make more authentic choices aligned with your true values. It's particularly valuable during transitions, when seeking purpose, or when wanting to break recurring patterns that no longer serve you.

The Gene Keys & Enneagram

These profound frameworks for self-exploration transcend conventional self-assessment tools. Operating at the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern psychology, they offer intuitive pathways to understanding your core patterns and potential.

The Gene Keys illuminate your unique genetic blueprint through contemplative practice, revealing both shadows and gifts waiting to be expressed in your relationships and work. Similarly, the Enneagram maps the terrain of your inner landscape through nine distinct patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving—creating "aha" moments that transform how you see yourself and others. These approaches aren't merely intellectual exercises but creative journeys that engage your intuition, helping you recognize habitual patterns, develop greater compassion for yourself and others, and unlock more authentic expression and connection.

archetypes

Working with archetypes provides a powerful lens for understanding the deeper patterns that shape our lives and relationships. These universal symbols and characters - whether explored through mythology, fairy tales, or modern stories - help us recognize recurring themes in our personal and collective experiences. We gain insight into our own behavioral patterns, motivations, and potential for growth. Archetypes offer a creative and intuitive way to understand how we show up in the world, what roles we naturally embody, and which aspects of ourselves might need more attention or expression. Archetypal work helps us see beyond our personal story to understand the larger human narratives we're part of, offering both comfort in our shared human experience and guidance for our individual journey. This is particularly valuable for understanding family dynamics, cultural patterns, and our own path of development, helping us move from unconscious reaction to conscious choice in how we express these universal energies.

life coaching tools

These provide practical, actionable frameworks that help ground deep personal insights into everyday reality. Through structured goal-setting, accountability partnerships, and concrete action plans, they bridge the gap between inner awareness and outer change.

Time-tested techniques like values clarification exercises, decision-making matrices, and priority mapping help you navigate life transitions with clarity and purpose. When combined with deeper contemplative work, these practical tools create a balanced approach that honors both your need for meaningful transformation and the importance of taking tangible steps forward. Regular check-ins, progress tracking, and adjustable milestone planning ensure that your personal growth journey maintains momentum while remaining flexible enough to adapt to life's changing circumstances.

storytelling

Storytelling holds transformative power in our lives, as the narratives we tell about ourselves shape our identity, choices, and possibilities. The stories we inherit from family and culture often operate invisibly, influencing how we see ourselves and our place in the world.

By bringing these stories into conscious awareness, we gain the ability to examine them critically and compassionately. This awareness creates space to rewrite our personal narratives - not by erasing our history, but by reinterpreting it with greater wisdom and understanding. When we recognize that we are both the storyteller and a character in our own life story, we reclaim our agency and creative power. Through intentional storytelling, we can highlight different aspects of our experiences, discover new meanings, and imagine different futures. This practice allows us to transform from being passive recipients of inherited stories to becoming active authors of our lives, creating narratives that honor our past while opening new possibilities for our future.
